Heat Press Instructions
DTF
1. Press Settings
a. 320°F to 356°F
b. 10 to 25 seconds
c. Medium Pressure (40 to 50 psi)
2. Pre-press garment for 2 to 5 seconds, this ensures fibers are flat and no wrinkles are present
3. Ensure matte (Printed) side is touching garment in desired location. When film is pressed, it cannot be removed.
4. Press the garment with the press settings above. Ideal settings are 330°F for 22 seconds at 50 psi. All heat presses are different, so experiment with yours to get ideal settings.
5. Wait for film to cool before peeling. The glue on the transfer needs time to bond and settle to the garment. Peeling immediately may result in incomplete transfers and damage the transfers.
6. Repress the garment with butcher paper or non-stick convers to remove any visible powder left over.
Spangle
1. Press Settings
a. 288°F
b. Firm Pressure (80 psi)
c. 15 sec
2. Pre-press garment for 2-5 seconds, this ensures fibers are flat and no wrinkles are present
3. Separate spangle transfer from backing material. You will remove the white side.
4. Place spangle transfer with design facing up and glue side down on garment in the desired location. When transfer is pressed, it cannot be removed.
5. Press the garment with the settings above.
6. Remove garment from press and place on flat surface
7. Allow transfer to cool for 15 to 20 seconds before removing. Failure to do this may result in an incomplete transfer.
8. Remove the transfer
a. Hold one hand at the start of the transfer, Left or right doesn’t matter
b. Use your other free hand to work off spangle tape.
i. When removing, peel across not up. Failure to do this may result in an incomplete transfer
c. Work slowly when removing spangle tape. Some spangles may not stick but this is fine. If a large area does not stick, repress shirt and start over.
Puff
1. Press Settings
a. 280°F
b. Medium Pressure (40 to 50 psi)
c. 12 sec
2. Pre-press garment for 2-5 seconds, this ensures fibers are flat and no wrinkles are present
3. Place puff transfer on garment in desired location. When transfer is pressed, it cannot be removed.
a. For printed puff, remove the transfer sheet before placing on garment
4. Press the garment with the settings above.
5. Remove garment from press and place on flat surface
6. Remove transfer sheet immediately after pressing. For Metallic Puff, please wait 15 to 30 seconds for puff to cool. Failure to do this will result in transfer not bonding to the garment.
7. With the transfer sheet removed, press the garment again.
8. Remove the garment from the press.
